It’s that time of year again here at Husson University where students will be doing class registrations. Registrations for class start on March 27th and end up going until April 2nd. The process starts off with going to the registrar’s office and getting a course selection packet and they also have a packet if you want to do summer courses.  Then you end up making the schedule that you want. After you do that you then go talk to you advisor and he recommends classes for you and gives you the oaky on if he thinks the schedule you chose will work for you.

Students will be able to register for classes at 5am in the morning. Second semester sophomore Jessica Desert talked about what she thinks about class registrations, “I am going to be a junior so this year should have less stress, and I like early mornings so the time is wonderful for me.” Jess also has a strategy that works for her when preparing for class registration, “ I look at my curriculum sheet then I look at the time of the classes which then leads me to pick back up classes for each class and also talk to my advisor for advice for classes.

With classes being at 5am students need to prioritize what classes should they register for first, Ed Miner a video major talks a little more about this, “Do it early and have backups in case you don’t get into the class you want to. Fill out your curriculum sheet and make sure you take enough classes to stay in track. If it’s confusing see your advisor because they’ve done it dozens of times. Once your schedule is set, check the night before to make sure nothing has moved or changed. Then get up early and go for the most important/smaller classes first. Empty classes are easy to get, but if there’s only a few seats you better get up to commit to it.” The curriculum sheets are not all the same for every major there is different classes you are required to take in your major.

In the past Husson University has had issues with the Wi-Fi with students being kicked off the website or it taking for ever to load due to all the people registering at the same time. With this conflict Husson has made changes to the website and the wifi to let the students have a smoother transition into making class selections.

Juniors will be registering on Monday the 27th at 5 am followed by the juniors on Tuesday the 28th and for sophomores on Wednesday the 29th. The time has changed for this year class registrations started at 6am last year and this year it starts at 6am. Junior Husson student Faith Burnett said, “My first 2 years of college here at Husson class registrations started at 5am”.

Make sure to wake up 10 minutes before registration opens and to turn off ad blocker. Happy class registering.
