Bangor, ME: There are a lot of great acts coming to the Gracie Theatre this year at Husson University. Everything from comedians to Hollywood spoof acts. But one that people should really be looking forward to is American female country singer Wynonna Judd and The Noise. She will be performing at the Gracie Theatre on March 12th at 8 pm.
Throughout her 22 year career, Judd has definitely made a name as well as a legacy for herself. She started out performing with her mom and the family group known famously as The Judds, who went on to win multiple CMA awards during their career. Then she went on to have a very successful solo career, and now she is on tour with her band The Big Noise. Their tour begins on March 3rd.
Jeri Misler, who is the Managing Director of the Gracie Theatre, has teamed up with Waterfront Concerts in order to bring this show to the Husson Campus. She believes that this show will be a very good experience and feels that it gives the audience a chance to really feel close and personal with the performers. “She is doing stories with it, so I think it’s going to more of an intimate style concert. Shes known for being very big and wild, so I think the whole nature of this particular tour is going to be a little more toned down.”
Judd is very use to playing in front of large crowds. Traveling to large cities, playing in front of thousands of people. Now she is coming to a theatre that doesn’t hold nearly as many people as some of the larger venues that she has been use to performing at. But Misler says that it was Judds choice to come to the Gracie Theatre. “She specifically requested a smaller venue to perform.” This is definitely a show that would be worth watching if you are a country music fan and if you are looking for some entertainment and fun, this could be the perfect show for you.
