“Terrorizing Threat” Outside Portland Police Station

PORTLAND, Maine – Police in Maine’s largest city received a call regarding a dangerous situation Monday. Officer Cody Forbes responded to the situation and discovered that the location identified by the caller as the site of the incident was right outside the Portland Police Station. Police logs from Officer Forbes response reveal that a “terrorizing or threatening” event took place at 109 Middle St, which is the address of the Portland Police Headquarters. Police received the a call alerting them to the disturbance at 8:11 p.m. Monday. Officer Forbes responded to the street in front of the police station shortly thereafter, and the matter was resolved by 9:00 p.m.

It is not expressly clear what characterized the “terrorizing or threatening” event. The Portland Police Headquarters are located on the corner of Middle St. and Franklin St. in the city’s downtown. Portland’s historic Old Port and financial district meet at the intersection. Despite the reported “terrorizing or threatening” event, Portland Police have not said city residents or visitors should be concerned for their safety. Peace was restored to Middle St. outside the police station Monday evening.
