It is going to a busy day on the campus of Husson University for athletics on Wednesday, April 24th as both the baseball and softball teams are home for a North Atlantic Conference doubleheader. The baseball team will host Thomas College on Senior Day at 5:00 and 7:30 PM at the Harold Alfond Diamond on the Dr. John W. Winkin Sports Complex while the softball team will host the University of Maine at Presque Isle for a doubleheader at 3:00 and 5:00 PM hopefully at the O’Keefe Softball Field.
Between now and April 24th, the 16-14 baseball team plays three games; all on the road. Husson travels to Lewiston to take on Bates on Thursday, April 18th at 3:30 p.m. The Eagles follow that up with a trip to New England College for a Saturday doubleheader with the Pilgrims starting at 12:00 p.m. with weather permitting.
The 12-8 softball team is on the road for six straight games before the UMPI pair of games. April 18th, the Eagles take on NVU-Johnson at 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. followed by NVU-Lyndon on April 19th at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. The Eagles finish the road trip with a non-conference doubleheader at Bates College on April 23rd at 3:00 p.m. and 5 p.m.
