BANGOR, Maine – Husson University’s Commencement Ceremony for 2019 graduates will take place on Saturday May 11th at the Cross Insurance Center in downtown Bangor. The ceremony begins at 10:30 a.m. and doors open two hours before the event at 8:30 a.m. Family and friends of graduating students do not need tickets to attend graduation and all seating is general admission. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure desired seats.
Outgoing students receiving degrees should arrive at the Cross Insurance Center by 9:00 a.m. and will be directed to line up in a designated spot upon arrival. Relatives of Husson graduates seeking accommodations for commencement weekend may receive discounts from the following area hotels: Quality Inn (Bangor), Courtyard Marriott (Bangor), Townplace Suites by Marriott (Bangor), Holiday Inn (Bangor), University Inn (Orono), and Black Bear Inn (Orono).
The Cross Insurance Center, located at 515 Main Street in Bangor, is central Maine’s premier sports and entertainment venue. University of Maine basketball, the annual Maine Principals Association High School Basketball Tournament, and numerous concerts and trade shows visit the Cross Center each year.
