WESTBROOK, ME- Limitless Wrestling is back at it again, this time presenting “Hysteria” taking place this past Friday as over 400 wrestling fans packed inside the Westbrook Armory to see one of the fastest growing wrestling promotions. The card was loaded with incredible matches from top to bottom, featuring bouts such as Ace Romero vs Keith Lee, Chris Dickinson vs René Dupree, Ethan Page vs Tyler Nitro, and Troy Nelson vs Kikutaro. There was also a surprise appearance on the show from former WWE Cruiserweight Champion, Hornswoggle. It was of course headlined by one of the biggest matches in Limitless Wrestling history, former WWE Tag Team Champion, Ring of Honor Tag Team Champion, and 2 time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion Matt Sydal (known in WWE as Evan Bourne) vs former 2 time Lucha Underground Champion, 2 time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion, and the winner of the 2014 Best of the Super Juniors Tournament, Ricochet.
Owner and operator of Limitless Wrestling Randy Carver has brought in some of the biggest names on the independent wrestling scene and has put together some amazing shows, and he believes that this is just the beginning. “Hysteria was top to bottom our best show yet, in my opinion. Which I feel is hard for some to believe after having globally known superstar Cody Rhodes in January, but I really feel we’re starting to hit our stride.”
Carver noted that although they were missing some regular roster members, such as Anthony Greene, JT Dunn, and Donovan Dijak, it gave everyone on the card a great opportunity. “This provided everyone on the show a unique opportunity to go out there and have a killer match, connect with our audience, and make it impossible for me not to bring them back, which is what I encourage anyone on Limitless Wrestling events to do. We had 15 debuts on this show, and they sure did impress.”
Carver mentioned Anthony Henry vs Jay Freddie when asked about matches that stood out to him. A match between two competitors that not a lot of wrestling fans in Maine had heard of, but by the end of the match, fans wanted both back to Limitless as soon as possible. He also mentioned wrestlers such as Dick Justice, Maxwell Jacob Feinstein and Mr. Grim also performed at a high level, as well as world traveled wrestlers such as Kikutaro, Matt Sydal and Ricochet also performed at the level they always perform at. “Everyone gave it their all, which is why Limitless Wrestling still stands today. If we didn’t have a hard working core, we wouldn’t have gone anywhere after our first show in 2015. If we didn’t have some of the biggest names in independent wrestling giving it their all on our shows, we wouldn’t have the reputation or notoriety we do in this area. Limitless Wrestling is a special home brew that I wouldn’t trade for anything else.”
Limitless Wrestling returns on Saturday, May 13th with “Problematic” in Westbrook. The show features former 2 time Ring of Honor Tag Team Champion Colt Cabana, as well as former WWE Cruiserweight Champion, and 3 time WWE Tag Team Champion, and current Lucha Underground star Paul London. The card will also feature a “Fans Bring the Weapons” match between Ace Romero and AR Fox. Tickets go on sale Monday, April 3rd at 7 p.m. VIP tickets are $35, front row is $25, and general admission is $15. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. for VIP, front row and general admission at 7 p.m., with a bell time of 7:30.
